Triodos Bank Project Summary

Fiscal year

The project started late 2006 and lasted about 9 months with varying degrees of engagement.

Situation

Triodos had developed a new banking application that would send its legacy DOS based system to retirement and they needed software testing to be carried out for the Belgian branch.

Task / role

BusinessQuests was part of the testing project and worked to develop the test plan based on functional and technical specs as well as Belgian legislation pertaining to banking services.

Actions & initiatives

Using basic office software tools as well as opensource bug tracking tools, we created a test plan, defined a process, prepared test scenarios and created a basic framework to follow-up the results of tests.

Results

Testing was carried out within budget and before the required launch date with a good degree of assurance as to the adequacy of the new platform relative to the Belgian business.
